Jacob von Mechow, RLA, is a Senior Associate and Landscape Architect at Whitham Planning Design Landscape Architecture, PLLC. Jacob manages a large portion of WPD’s projects from site analysis through construction administration, overseeing public and private projects with improvements to infrastructure, landscaping, and hardscape features. With a passion for natural systems, Jacob incorporates green infrastructure and stormwater management elements in all technical designs.

For projects ranging in scale from residences to medical campuses, Jacob regularly prepares construction drawings that consider existing features, historic context, practical function, and unrealized potential. As a professional designer, Jacob aims to produce environmentally informed designs that fit the character of their surroundings and meet the needs of the human and ecological communities they are in.
