Mary Martin, Designer II
As a former resident of New York City, Mary learned about urban design through living and performing in a dense urban environment. With a background in visual arts and experience with conceptual thinking, community gardening, and research, she explores how people activate public spaces and how that activation informs a space’s function. In designing urban places that integrate social, cultural, and environmental dynamics, she aspires to push the boundaries of what public space can do.
